Oboe Thumbplate Chromatic Fingering Chart

This chart covers all the notes on the oboe to the third octave G. The Thumb plate system is also known as the English System.

All fingering diagrams have been derived from photographs of the oboe keys and holes, so that the diagrams look as natural as possible.

There are no confusing numbers and, in addition, practical alternative fingerings are shown.

Each of our oboe fingering charts are plastic laminated for strength and wipe clean when your oboe drips all over it - or sticky fingers put jam on it.

It folds vertically in two so that it easily fits your pocket or instrument case, yet opens out to lie flat on your music stand.

Why not pop an oboe fingering chart in your shopping basket?

Especially on the leger lines?

Our unique Oboe Thumbplate key signature fingering chart shows you quickly and easily.

Oboe Thumbplate Key Signature fingering chart

Many of our students told us that they had difficulty recognising which notes were sharps or flats when playing music - especially if there are lots of leger lines. They said it didn't help to try to work out the note names - it took too long.

So we sat and thought and came up with the Key Signature fingering chart.

Our students love it - so will you. You will now be able to see immediately how to play any flat or sharp, no matter how high or low, or how many sharps or flats in the key signature.
